Despite the proximity to the airport, Gran Alacant is not in the main flight corridor, so the noise is rarely disturbing. But you can see the planes!
It helps enormously. There is a "tourist train" around the area, but for shopping or reaching the beach conveniently, a car is best.
Being on a height ("Cape"), it can be breezier than in sheltered coves, which is *lovely* in summer but can be cool in winter.
